The Problem
India’s consumer electronics OEMs face a challenge that does not exist at the same scale in most other markets. Four months of active monsoon, high ambient humidity year-round, and a consumer base that uses devices in real conditions. Liquid damage from humidity ingress is the single largest driver of warranty returns in India, with a predictable spike every monsoon season. Protecting internal electronics at the assembly stage — before the device is closed — is the most cost-effective intervention in the product lifecycle.

ViriDyn’s conformal nano-coatings protect consumer electronics both internally and externally. Applied to the PCB before final assembly, they create a hydrophobic barrier enabling up to IPX5 protection without mechanical seals or gaskets. Less than 1 micron thick, RF-transparent — Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and cellular performance unaffected. For external surfaces, VIRIDYN DX provides a hard 7H–9H transparent shell on touchscreens and camera lenses — anti-fingerprint, anti-smudge, anti-scratch. For speaker and microphone venting paths, oleophobic membrane coatings prevent moisture ingress while maintaining acoustic performance.
