The Problem

India’s PCB and SMT assembly industry produces boards for every sector — defence, automotive, consumer electronics, and telecom. The failure modes are consistent: moisture ingress causing corrosion, tin whiskers growing between solder joints and causing shorts, and dendrites forming as humidity carries ionic contaminants across the board surface. Traditional conformal coatings address these problems but many require masking, long cure cycles, and process steps that reduce throughput on high-volume lines.

The Solution

A nanometre-thin shell over the entire board. No masking. No cure wait.

ViriDyn’s conformal nano-coatings form a hydrophobic and oleophobic barrier across the entire board assembly in a single spray or dip application. Less than 1 micron thickness means no meaningful bulk, no thermal interference, and no connector masking required. RF-transparent and low-resistivity — the board’s electrical behaviour is unaffected. Zero cure time means the board is ready for the next process step immediately. UV tracer is available for QC and QA verification. ViriDyn’s coatings are also verified drop-in replacements for discontinued 3M Novec Electronic Grade coatings.
