The Problem
Satellite communication systems — enterprise VSAT terminals, defence SATCOM, Comms-on-the-Move platforms, and vessel-mounted dishes — share one vulnerability: the antenna surface between them and the sky. Rain, salt fog, and surface contamination degrade signal quality progressively and silently. By the time a link drops, the surface has been underperforming for some time. For critical defence and remote infrastructure applications, this is not an acceptable failure mode.
The Solution
An RF-transparent coating keeps the dish dry and the link alive.
ViriDyn’s SATCOM coatings are fully RF-transparent while making the antenna surface superhydrophobic or hydrophobic — water beads and rolls off rather than forming a film. Salt fog deposits are resisted. Self-cleaning reduces dust and pollution accumulation between maintenance cycles. Compatible with Ku-band, Ka-band, LEO, and GEO systems without interference. Standard RAL colour matching is available for military and naval applications. Both factory application and 10-minute in-field restoration kits are available for new deployments and existing infrastructure maintenance.
